Ingredients
6 - 8oz packages cream cheese
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 cups heavy cream
1.5 cups coffee liquor
1.5 cups espresso
2 cups chocolate cake, crumbled
2 cups pound cake, crumbled
1 package Lady Fingers
Cocoa powder for decoration
Optional: Chocolate flakes for decoration
Directions
Whip together the cream cheese and 1.5 cups of confectioners’ sugar until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip cream and ½ cup confectioners’ sugar until stiff peaks form.
In a small sauce pan, bring the coffee liquor and espresso to a boil and then remove from heat.
In a trifle dish, layer chocolate cake, cream cheese, espresso sauce, and then repeat with pound cake. Add a layer of Lady Fingers, either horizontally or along the sides, and top or fill with additional layers. Continue layering until dish is full. Top with the whipped cream and dust with sifted cocoa powder. Optional: sprinkle chocolate flakes on top in addition to the cocoa.
